3rd Annual Souped Up On Guilderland

Once again, the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce is taking advantage of Altamont Orchard/Orchard Creek Golf Club’s breathtaking setting; hosting ‘Souped up on Guilderland’ on October 10, 2009.

Souped up on Guilderland features local restaurants and their delicious soups. The soups are judged from 11-2 by attendees to see which restaurant has the best tasting soup. The event also features apple picking, live music with local celeb Renee Lussier and Branchwater, bouncy bounce, crate maze, farm store (with Dawn Abbruzzese’ pies!) and more!

This year, chamber volunteers are coordinating the classic car show from 10-2, with hot-rods, foreign cars, trucks, motorcycles and more! The first 50 cars will get “swag bags” (goody bags filled with lots!) and dash plaques.

The GCC is also pleased to announce that renowned local chef and television personality, Carmine Spiro, will be attending the event to help judge the soups. Carmine is the owner of Carmine’s Restaurant.

$5 per person entry to the Souped Up tent for soup sampling.
Free visitor entry to the Souped Up Car/Truck/Motorcycle show.
$10 for vehicle entrants to the car show.

Car Show Notes: Show grounds open at 10am. Souped Up starts at 11am. Judging is by public vote. First 50 entrants receive dash plaque and swag bag. All vehicles entered receive 1 ticket for Souped Up. Awards presentation will be about 2pm. Show open to all cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Hot rods, customs, antiques, classic, vintage, stock, foreign, choppers, competition, low rider, are welcome.
